Somewhere in this world,
there waits a little girl.
So sad and blue.
She doens't know what to do.
She's waiting for het love to see
that she's in misery.
And hoping that it won't show,
you know.

Now can't you tell she's alone?
Her love is always gone/
He doesn't know she's there.
He thinks of her as air.
It isn't fair to let her down.
Can't he see that dark frown?
She's standing on the edge.
Still hoping he's there to catch.

You know this girl is really close?
She's right under your nose.
Her heart is with you, wherever she goes.
You're the one her heart chose.
Your soul is the one hers picked,
just because it clicked.
You may wonder: 'Who will this girl be?'
This girl is me.
